On Wednesday 9th September and Thursday 10th September 2026, something quietly remarkable took place at Ahor KARA along the Lagos Road Bypass, Benin City.
Kifayat Global Energy Limited opened its doors to the community it calls home, extending a service that financial constraints too often put out of reach: completely free, accessible healthcare. With no registration forms to fill, no fees to pay, and no advance appointments required, residents were invited to walk in, be screened, and receive professional medical care.
Over the two day outreach, 102 community members were screened, counselled, and treated at zero cost. Sixty one beneficiaries attended on Day 1, while forty one residents joined or returned on Day 2.
Key Medical Findings: Encouraging Signals and Urgent Interventions
The medical data compiled during the two day exercise revealed a mixture of promising public health indicators alongside critical warnings that underscore the necessity of community level medical interventions.
- 100% Malaria Free Outcome
Every single one of the 102 screened beneficiaries tested negative for malaria. In a region where malaria remains an ongoing public health challenge, a 100 percent malaria free result stands as an exceptionally positive signal for the Ahor community. It reflects growing local health awareness, effective preventative habits, and strong community resilience. - Healthy Blood Glucose Levels
Over 80 percent of tested participants recorded blood glucose levels strictly within the normal range. For the minority who presented irregular readings, early detection provided an immediate opportunity for medical guidance and dietary adjustment achieving the precise early intervention goal of the outreach. - Hypertension: Breaking the Silence
While malaria and glucose tests delivered reassuring news, blood pressure checks highlighted a far more urgent health reality:
A combined 76.5 percent of beneficiaries recorded either High or Elevated blood pressure readings. For the vast majority of these individuals, this was their very first time receiving a hypertension diagnosis. Often called the “silent killer,” hypertension develops without visible pain or warning signs until severe complications arise. By identifying these elevated readings early, the outreach interrupted that silence and provided dozens of residents with life saving information.
Free Medications, Health Education, and Security Sector Engagement
Beyond diagnostic screenings, Kifayat Global Energy Limited provided comprehensive care through direct medical treatments and structured health literacy:
Essential Pharmaceutical Support: Essential medications covering blood pressure management, pain relief, digestive health, and general wellness were dispensed freely based on individual screening results.
Health Education Sessions: Parallel counseling sessions provided attendees with actionable knowledge to recognize symptoms, manage long term conditions, adjust daily habits, and know when to seek clinical care.
Support for Local Law Enforcement: Officers from the Nigeria Police Force (Ahor Division)—whose station sits adjacent to the outreach venue—were invited to participate as beneficiaries. Officers were screened, checked, and cared for alongside the citizens they protect daily, reflecting a shared commitment to community well being.
